AN approach that’s RIGOUROUS IN ITS RULES, but flexible in its method….

Human Engine was inspired by the most effective weight-loss program in the history of medical literature which was a volunteer-run self-help group born out of a small town in Pennsylvania - the Trevose Behavior Modification Program.

In a nutshell, the program provided all the balanced weight loss tools such as support, accountability, meetings… However, it had a twist. Its members were required to attend the weekly one-hour meetings - unless the absence was arranged prior, their membership was terminated if they didn’t show up. Another rule was that once a member, you couldn’t rejoin.

It worked! It was a voluntary program and the most effective weight loss program out there.

Even though not strictly the same, Human Engine is designed to hold its members accountable to their goals. Hence;

What is a full commitment agreement?

Firstly, I believe this one to be the most important component of ensuring success with healthy weight programs. Many a plan (be it a weight-loss solution or a fitness regimen or dietary changes for improving health) only works if we fully commit to what is expected of us.

Let’s face it. The majority of us run very busy schedules and we sometimes lose sight of our personal goals when life happens. As time goes by, the intensity of our initial motivation slows down and jeopardizes the success of reaching the end goal. However, having an accountability partner who you work with, under a full commitment agreement will help keep the priority your goals deserve.

My programs are rigorous in its rules, but not with its method. They have a very personal angle and except for overly processed foods, they do not exclude any food groups or prescribe intense exercise regimens.

FULL COMMITMENT RULES

  • Photograph everything you consume on a daily basis

  • Set aside 5 minutes every morning to share your photos from the day before

  • Attend a video or phone call for a weekly consultation (15 to 20 minutes)

  • When provided, complete short learning materials

These are the 4 rules you are expected to fully commit to. Altogether, it would only come up to less than an hour of your time per week. They are designed to create habits, maintain consistent communication, utilize the power of accountability, introduce mindfulness and increase knowledge.

This will also allow me to come up with the most suitable solution if we are faced with an obstacle along the way.

IT’S PERSONAL

We all have different backgrounds, different stories, and experiences that shape up the nutritional personality that is unique to us.

I listen to all the factors contributing to your present and identify areas to work on. I then create a path taking into consideration all the unique qualities you possess.

From there, you are not alone. I will be supporting you on a daily basis, through sharing your daily food and drinks consumption, how you feel, any questions you may have and any challenges you may need on the spot help with.

You will be supported with tips, tools, and methods accordingly, to create the habits we need to implement for the best version of yourself.

IT’S DESIGNED TO SUIT YOUR FUTURE SELF

This method of targeting areas for improvement in order to reach your healthy body goals, the results we will aim for will be forever.

Through the process, I often bring up the sustainability of a certain habit we are creating. I use the visualization tool with my clients to imagine themselves years down the line and ask if they see themselves still sticking to that particular habit.

It is hugely important that you feel comfortable and at ease with the nutritional personality you will be creating. The long term success relies on the sustainability of the behaviors you will be implementing now.
